Digging sites appear as radar events and are completely random. It completely doesn’t matter if you are f2p player or a whale, there are some players that get them often and some that play for couple of months and never had even one. The X2 bonus is also randomly distributed to one of the 10 players that claimed the reward.
Getting a treasure dig ‘event’ guarantees that you will get the reward even without clicking on the dig site after it is completed. You will get even more rewards if you manage to claim the reward by clicking and even better, if you get the X2 bonus.
Digging best practices
The dig ‘event’ will not take place until you activate it. It is in everyone’s best interest digging not to be activated during alliance events like Zombie Siege or The Tyrant. Also digging should not be activated if you are far away from your alliance hive.
If you have free time, it is a really good courtesy to wait outside of the dig site until everyone arrives. Once you enter and start digging, the timer starts counting 2 hours to complete it and even if you go out the timer will keep counting down. Waiting for everyone will ensure everyone get at least the digging reward, which is small but will add up on the long run.
The best way to chase digging sites and make sure you participate it is to utilize the reinforcement speed boost of 300% if you are on alliance territory.
What is the reward
The reward is visible only to the player that starts the dig.
Why sometimes it says ‘daily limit reached’
These are not treasure dig events, but it is Vivian Compass dig that awards Vivian shards and diamonds. There is no limit on how many treasure digs you can claim daily.
